She was always there to listen to my concerns and helped advocate for me during my birthing experience. She was devoted to being present for my birth. I knew she truly cared for me when she would go to work, get off, and come straight to the hospital during my induction process. My induction lasted 3 days, she worked those three days and was still present. She never missed a beat, never missed a text message, and nevertheless, did not miss my delivery. “From the very beginning, I knew that Paiten was the perfect one to support us through my pregnancy. She had a very calming spirit, she was knowledgeable, and funny, which is exactly what we needed. During our consultation, she was very organized and listened to the desires, worries, and previous birth story. She talked to us about her reasoning for becoming a doula and her mission, which resonated so well with us. She did not disappoint! She remembered every detail for our birth and our baby girl, Amelia. She came to our home for our prenatal visit and made us feel even more at ease. Our daughter even enjoyed her presence and she is usually standoffish to people she doesn’t know. She included her in our session, had her help with counterpressure techniques, and she even created affirmations for us. She was a joy to have by our side. She created a birth preferences sheet for us and the nurses were amazed at how organized it was. Paiten is a nurse and knew how the system worked, but that was our little secret during our birth. Paiten was so personable. When we arrived to the hospital, she created birth affirmation cards and the cards included the ones my daughter stated at our prenatal. That simple gesture meant the world to us. Paiten was an amazing doula and she is an even better person. We loved Paiten and highly recommend her supporting others too!”

“If you are on the fence, I absolutely recommend you go for it and schedule doula services with Paiten! This was my second baby and after preventable complications with our first birth, I always said if I got to do it again, I would hire a doula. After our virtual intro meeting with Paiten, we were so eager to work with her. She provided practical and helpful planning strategies before birth and helped us consider all of our options. I really hoped for an unmedicated birth after too many interventions with our first. Baby Felix was so eager to meet Paiten, he decided to come in the morning before our final 37 week session - but that didn't matter one bit. Paiten was ready and she had already given us the tools we needed. Paiten met us at the hospital and built instant rapport with our whole nurse and midwives care team. She had a bag filled with all of the support tools we had discussed and more. Most importantly, she was with us every minute until we held our baby, through our golden hour and until we moved to the recovery floor. I couldn't believe that I had done it - unmedicated and feeling like an absolute super woman. This birth was such a redemptive experience after such a tough prior birth. “Words do not describe how absolutely WONDERFUL Paiten is! We just had our first baby and were planning to deliver out of hospital but things changed and we ended up being induced and delivering in hospital with medication. Paiten was so supportive with this change, her knowledge as a former L&D nurse really came in handy to help me and my husband make informed choices in our care. She checked in on me and cared not just about my physical body but how I was doing mentally.
