Meet Paiten!

Paiten is a native of North Carolina; however, she relocated to Virginia in the early 2000s (so sometimes her accent slips). She attended Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. Later, she attended Pfeiffer University and Southside College of Health Sciences and obtained her Master of Health Administration and Nursing degree.

Paiten's desire to become a birth doula began after becoming a Labor & Delivery nurse because she recognized the common concerns, miscommunication, and how numerous people were unaware of the options available to them. Her desire to impact, support, advocate, and bring peace to the birth space intensified. She realized that she wanted to support birthers (and their partners) from a different perspective, throughout pregnancy and during the postpartum period. Therefore, she created Blissful Beginnings Doula Services, LLC. Paiten is devoted to putting her clients first and helping them achieve the birth they deserve, the birth they envisioned for themselves. Therefore, she continued to educate herself about birth and beyond through various trainings: Spinning Babies Techniques, Water Birth for Doulas Workshop, DONA International Approved Doula Workshop, Hypnobirthing, Breastfeeding, and Childbirth Education.

As a Certified Birth Doula and Registered Nurse, Paiten is here to support you (and your partner) every step of the way, offering care, comfort, and a truly nurturing experience. She takes pleasure in providing unbiased treatment/care, unwavering support, and resources before, during, and after birth. Paiten's goal is to make the transition to parenthood as stress-free as possible, allowing you (and your partner) to have a pleasant and gratifying experience. She's dedicated to making sure you come first, you are heard, and the vibes are always in your favor!

Outside of the birth world, Paiten enjoys hand-crocheting blankets, arts and crafts, reading, cuddling her dog, baking, and spoiling/gushing over her nephew, Oliver.
